The project is a modest but strategically placed contribution to the City Plot Developement that is now rapidly taking shape in this part of Buiksloterham. In the diversity of volumes, programs and architectural languages, the building designed by dvdp is a unique example of the integration of residential programs in a highly densified urban context. In that sense it is an urban building block exactly as intended in the City Plot concept. The apartment building is characterized by a sturdy volumetry of striaght lines, black wooden facade, large window openings and generous terraces; the vocabulary designated by dvdp for this program and this location. The building contains two ground-level houses and a third one with an entrance on the second floor.
