The renewed wing of the existing Gaasperdam Day Centre on Soestdijkstraat opened at the start of April. Those who attended the festive opening were guided around their new facility by the proud occupants.
At the invitation of the Cordaan Foundation, dvdp came up with a design that brings together all patients at one central location in the city. The transformation of the existing building involved upgrading the working and living spaces, the restaurant and the remaining shared amenities. Moreover, all groups can now use the gardens as part of their private domain. The refurbishment of this portion of the building – a former nursing home built in the 1980s – marks the first step in the complete overhaul of this facility. The realization of this transformation was entrusted to the Duet consortium and is a successful example of chain integration.
