The existing process technology hall on the University of Twente campus has been transformed into a new TechMed Centre. Technical Medicine, Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences have experienced strong growth in recent years. This new building is an excellent opportunity to enhance the profile and position of the UT's strong focus on healthcare: the Technohal will be the beating heart of the first Technical Medical Center. The large central atrium functions as a movement and meeting space for the 1600 students; the side aisles provide space for lecture halls, teaching rooms, labs, offices, catering and specific medical functions such as OR rooms, IC rooms and MRI/CT scanners. The building has since been taken into use and will be officially opened on November 29 during the "Dies Natalis" of the university. View the project here.
