De Alliantie housing association has commissioned dvdp to draw up an urban design plan and visual quality plan for the Lucent site in Hilversum. The planned transformation of the area now occupied by a vast office complex will create in a pleasant district of homes and workplaces for various target groups. Further, dvdp has been selected to design 118 apartments and an underground car park on the Lucent site. The scheme for the apartment buildings takes the form of a Design and Build project commissioned by Dura Vermeer Hengelo. Construction of the new apartments will start as soon as the existing buildings have been demolished. The scheme will conclude with the construction of the ground-access dwellings and public park.
